Sarah Butcher, MS, LMFT

Sarah Butcher, MS, LMFT #98891, has worked with children and families for over ten years. She has experience in community-based, in-home, private practice, and school settings. She recognizes parenting can bring much joy to our lives but is also immensely challenging. A family system might be a place where we feel love and support and also a place where we feel significant stress and overwhelm. One person’s experience with their emotions can profoundly affect everyone else in the system. For example, if a child is struggling with intense emotions, caregivers may find it hard to regulate their own emotions in response. Sarah’s approach is to work to understand how the family system impacts each family member and how this relates to underlying issues. She takes into consideration the unique profiles and individual differences of each person in the family. This work may consist of individual sessions, family sessions, and parent consultations.
